Here you'll find some of the questions that have been asked recently.

I have just got a new camera, or can you give any advice on how to take better pictures?

Find a local Camera club, In my local area here in Aylesbury Vale, there are several, including to my mind, the best one... A.V.I.D.  (Aylesbury Vale Image Discovery).  Contact details are on the link page.  There are plenty of clubs out there but finding a good one is the hardest part.   Ideally, it will cater for all types of camera and all types of ability, not just digital not just film or transparency either.   Get some good advice then get out there and practice.  The age range, ability and resources of the membership should be a good mix too.

What type of photography do you do?

Portraiture, people,  pets and equines, Commercial or company imagery.  Weddings, celebrations and functions either singly or in groups. I also enjoy the more esoteric and ecclectic commissions.  Usually the more unusual the better!

What is best to wear?

For portraits, there are only three rules on what to wear; wear something comfortable, wear something comfortable, wear something comfortable.  Seriously, it is totally up to you, dark clothing tends to create a more sombre mood. High fashion may cause much amusement to you with the benefit of hindsight in years to come. Groups work best when the tones and style are similar, and either all casual or all formal, but feel free to bring a selection of clothes and styles you would like to try regardless of any "rules". If it works for you, then it will work for the camera too.

How far will you travel?

Distance is no object as I work all over the British Isles and Europe. Travelling costs are included up to about 20 miles from my base

Was the horse REALLY in the kitchen?

Have a look at the story so far of "Arfur".

What do you charge?

That depends on what you want to achieve, where you are and ultimately, how long it will take.

What equipment do you use
